The REGENERATE-IT Kick-off Meeting was held on 23-24 November 2023, at UMCG, in Groningen, the Netherlands.
All supervisors were present except Kerstin Bartscherer (UOS) and Michele De Luca (UNIMORE) could not join us due to unforeseen circumstances.
By this time, all DCs were already recruited and were present, except Silin Chen (UOS) who was awaiting visa approval.
Four Associated Partners (SCD, MSL, UOXF, MPIPBC) also attended the meeting.
During the first day of the meeting, all present students gave a 15-minute presentation followed by Q&A on their projects.
There were also presentations by the four Associated Partners.
On the second day of the meeting, all attended DCs participated in a 3-hour workshop on “Technical and ethical aspects of digital image handling” by Prof. Sven Ijzendoorn, from UMCG.
We also held the first Supervisory Board meeting and had enough time for networking session in the afternoon.
At the end of the day, we had a fund and informative guided excursion of the Groningen city center, followed by dinner near the city center.
